Grows best in light, well-drained, fertile soil, but tolerates clay sloped areas. Has fragrant flower. Native to Eastern New South Wales.
An Acacia decurrens var. mollis in Carmel is registered as a California Big Tree. It measures 60 feet high, with a trunk circumference of 103 inches and a crown spread of 37 feet.
