General Notes


     Relatively tolerant of heat and wind in landscaped areas. Native to Western North America from the Sierra Nevada to Montana.
     An Alnus rhombifolia in Springville (SCICON) is registered as a California Big Tree. It measures 75 feet high, with a trunk circumference of 111 inches and a crown spread of 36 feet.
